Alongside my academic journey, I have integrated my formally structured training in compositional disciplines with a broad and exploratory creative practice, enabling me to bring unique perspectives to teaching. In addition, I possess substantial expertise as a pianist, encompassing professional experience as both a solo performer and an ensemble musician.
My practice-based research has provided me with a deep and comprehensive understanding of the Western art music tradition, while my life as a composer has further enriched my abilities as an educator across a range of subjects centered on composition.
I have shared my knowledge with students through more than 400 hours of teaching experience. My students have ranged from enthusiastic amateurs to aspiring professionals preparing for conservatory entrance. I aim to create a holistic and culturally enriching experience through music—fostering individual growth in musicianship while maintaining a playful and encouraging atmosphere. I am experienced in both one-on-one tutoring and group instruction in theoretical subjects. During my lessons, I strive to bridge the gap between practical methods and the underlying musical and kinesiological principles, helping students develop a profound understanding of the why behind each concept.
