My photography forms a diaristic extension of my compositional practice — a continuation of my exploration of sonic materials, but through the interpretive rendering of time and space instead of sound.

In my images, I seek to reveal mundane urban tableaux that allude to the absurd, the grotesque, and the overwhelming reality of human depravity. I am drawn to subtle dramaturgical contrasts, both visual and semantic, that emerge quietly within the ordinary. My work often gestures toward outward manifestations of suppression, oppression, and persecution — whether material, political, or spiritual.

I am also fascinated by the silent yet piercing dialogue between growth and decay, between living organisms and artificial urban forms — entities that often coexist in strangely symbiotic relationships. I sometimes approach personified objects as caricatures of human figures, finding in their shapes echoes of our own fragility. Traces of wear, corruption, pain, and loss serve as metaphors for bodily mortality and death, yet beneath these surfaces lies a subtle reflection of hope — indistinct but certain, perhaps even imminent.

At the core of my photographic practice is a conscious act of biased observation and composition. While many technical influences inform my approach, the essence of my work resides in a fascination with form — how forms incubate our perceived reality and how, through them, we might glimpse something that points our eyes above and beyond.
